s14 Timing question

Hey guys I'm about to do a head removal, I rotated the harmonic balancer a ton of times I cannot get the timing marks to line up . Here's the closet I got it picture will show what I'm talking about. I just want to make sure I'm good to go before I remove the head thanks. #1 piston is at tdc and the lobes on the cams are opposite of each other and harmonic balancer is on the second mark.

Assuming your timing was correct before, its fine

I remember a thread about trying to see the darker links line up with the cam gear dots after aligning them up the first time. It takes a shit ton of rotations.

In all honesty it doesn't matter now since you are removing the head but its good practice.

My bad two post kinda blended together

Are you talking about the silver links?

Ignore them. I've seen them line up maybe once when I first got my first sr20 I was obsessed with them. But they don't really matter as you can simply go by lobes and the number of links between dots etc
