Whats the deal with rear sway bars on 95 240's?
My 95 Zenk doesn't have a rear sway bar but I'm sure that is an option on these cars.Is it like an SE or LE option or somethin.Does anyone know, and have any pics of one on their car?I want to add it since I don't have it and I'm not sure how it's set up.

I got two actually but neither have decent drawings or tell you what model 240 was equipped with a rear sway bar.I need a clearer image to see how the set up is.It also doesn't tell me if I need to change the control arms and shit.

The SE model came with a stock sway bar, and it bolts onto your LE without modification. You need the bar and end links for it to work, so you can also buy any bar that comes with end links (whiteline)

Some aftermarket sway bars won't include the metal brackets that go over the "D" bushings, so if you buy a rear bar, you may need those. Good thing is, the brackets cost less than $5.

I bolted mine in without a FSM. Got one now. Look for the 2 sets of holes on the subframe.
![]() Sorry, don't have a better pic.

i got some ST ones for cheap. i needed the d-link bolts as well, so i just picked up some m10 1.25 bolts from the hardware store. the only hard part was gettin around the exhaust during the install. if you can drop the catback it should make things a lot easier.

***thread hi-jack***
what do must of you guys recommend when it comes to sway bars? So far I'm hearing Cusco, ST and whiteline. I would really like Largus..but I hear they are expensive and hard to find. 240Skyline - Everything I would say to help you out has already been said in this thread. ![]()

Ya this thread has been pretty helpful...No negativity at all which is sweet.Really the factory sway bars in a 240 are pretty sweet.I would add some polyurethane bushings like I did on my front one and I really noticed a difference.Umm whiteline does seem to be the most popular and the price isn't bad,I was thinking about Tanabe as well but I don't think their adjustable like the Whiteline ones.I guess it really depends on how beefy you want them to be.For myself I'm gonna drive my car daily so I want something thats streetable as well as track worthy so I'm pretty sure I'll go with the whiteline sway bars.Hop[efully this helps man. |

okay, maybe i've been too nice lately or something but this crap has got to stop. how many completely useless threads/posts has this joker created that could have been prevented with minimal use of the search button or a little common sense? i mean, i guess some people just plain suck at figuring stuff out on their own and need their hands held... but sumthin's gotta give...
