im looking into buying a 240 and doing a swap, have some ??'s

well i have a wrx now and im looking for somthing that can handle well that is rwd and an import, and i think i came to the right place, im looking to do eather a s14/s15 sr20det swap, s15 front end, new wheels, and tein coilovers so i can use the e.d.f.c; my budget will be around 15-17k i was wondering what i can expect to pay for this and what year/body style i should use, im kinda new to nissan so try not to use technical terms that only nissan guys would know, thanks for the help! any ideas/comments websights will be ALOT of help! thanks

^^^ that and go shopping around sites that carry sr parts and then find out how they work then deside weather or not you want/need it and weather it will work with other products you have researched and liked

keep the wrx and convert it to RWD.

also RX7 TII or a FD. or a swapped Miata.

dude, keep the wrx... wrx's are great cars, why the hell would you want to get rid of it? so you can build up a fast rwd car then slam it into a tree after you spend 15 grand on it? just keep the wrx and get a massive rear sway bar. those things are great, keep it and throw 5-10 grand at it over the next 4 years. also if you had that much money for a car and you really really wanted rwd, 240sx would be one of my last choices.

if you want a S14 get a 94-95 much cheaper and easier to find than the 97-98 especially if you are going to get a S15 front..
if you want to do a S15 motor swap thats gonna cost you more than it may be worth.
lets see what else.. if you just want a good handling RWD car a miata may suite your needs but you have to be really confident with your manhood to drive a miata =)

i love my 240...handles like a charm and will put you back in your seat before you know whats happening...honestly though, i would keep the wrx...they handle even better (imo) and are already fast enough...but if you REALLY wanted a rwd...i say 240, FC3S rx7, FD3S rx7, miata, and i like the mk3 supras though some dont... if you want an sr powered 240...get one that is already swapped...it saves TONS of money and time...plus you know it already runs
