So heres the deal....As you all know, my oil pump did lock up. I had it replaced. They drove it out of the bay, went to back it up in a parking spot and it died. THey tried starting it and it would turn over but not start up. they checked all the ignition stuff and it was all good. Then they tried checking the timing, they retarded it 90 degrees and it started..They say that the gear that is inside where the oil pump is at and the gear that the distributor is on is possibly broke. I know that there is pins down in there that hold everything together and that possibly when they pulled the distributor, the pin could of came out...What results would this give? Would the gears jump around and not allow the car to start. Also, the night before i checked my oil and it was clean and normal looking...now when he showed me at the shop, it was milky and disgusting looking. I'd like some feedback if i could...as i need to know what to do.

"milky" sounds like you might have water in your oil.

Yes, i know this but what would of caused that to happen? I only drove the car from my house to the shop which is the equivalent of less than a mile. Do you think that they could of possibly done something that caused whatever happened to happen. I mean, it was fine before it was at their shop.
