Remember when i said i'll race my friends V6 eclipse when he hits 3000 miles? Well the day has came and i friggin SPANKED his ass. My car had 1 passenger 2 12inch subs, 2 amps, and only a CAI mod.
His car also had 1 passenger and it was a 5pd. i ate him up at the light by 3 car lengths by the time we finished i still had 2 car lengths on him. BRING on the new GT-S!!!

Sounds great man. I have a 92 5spd and Header, Intake and Exhaust. I raced my 1st V6 GT about two weeks ago and beat him by about a car a half. Kept up very well, better then I thought it would. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='

sigh...do i have to lay the smack down on you foos? the new 2003 have a new GTS version coming. here is the clip that i got.
2003 Eclipse UNVIELED! We finally get a glance of what the 2003 Eclipse looks like. As we already knew, the 2003 model receives a new front fascia, while the original tail lights are swapped for the clear "Euro-sport" inspired look with different color lights inside the composite housing. As we knew, a new GTS model is replacing the Premium Package GT but now also receives a brand new 210hp MVIC V6 engine. The 03 Spyder GT is also equipped with the same engine and more aggressive final drive ratio of the GTS (4.01:1 for A/T, 4.11:1 for M/T). The Eclipse GT and GTS both get new 17-inch wheels, while the GS also receives new 5-spoke 16-inch wheels. Check out the pictures below:

Yes, but how much does it weigh? 200hp on a 3000lb+ machine isn't much. You forget power to weight ratio, or most importantly torque to weight...

I had a 2000 fed spec eclipse GT 5 speed(with out the Cali extra cat. converters in the exhaust) . I will have to say stock for stock, the eclipse FWD and everything would rape the 98 SE......sorry. I Just bought a 95 S14 and I love it working on getting the SR20DET engine in as we speak but straight line the eclipse would win. The Fed spec 2000 at least, I had it dyno'ed at 185 (a friend with a 2001 cali spec 5 speed eclipse only put down like 165 whp) to the wheels with a CAI that's it for engine mods (spring and shocks). Sorry to be the bearer of bad news......like some one said before it is a fairly heavy car. As for styling I liked the 2000 -2002 sytles (before they changed the front end and put those ricey "euro light" tails on them <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sneaky.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='
