Why don't you check your belts for wear or looseness? Maybe it needs some belt lube. Check that out first. If the noise still pursists, then start troubleshooting the fan clutch, etc.

Okay my post will be clean and simple.  My 97 SE has 79K miles on it.

Car sounded normal but now
Every time I step on the gas the fan gets really freakin loud.  Is this due to the fan clutch or belt or whatever?  Also I hear a belt screech about 3200 rpms.  Any ideas?  Thanks

The actual fan gets loud, as in the A/C fan?  I was thinking if it was just screeching, then it could be the powersteering belt, but that wouldn't happen only at certain RPMs.
