Lightbulb Can I replace the tank on my radiator myself?

My radiator cracked open a while back, on the top tank opposide side of the upper hose. Here's a picture:

I posted about it on here and the solutions came down to either getting a new radiator or taking it to a shop and getting them to replace the tank. After giving it some thought, and being broke - how hard is it to get that tank off? I see Pinnacle sells the top tank for $48 and the seal for $12. Is getting it on and off as simple as prying up all of those metal tabs holding it on? Then beating them back down with a hammer? I've never worked on a radiator before, but it seems pretty straight forward.
