my 92 fastback (stock ka) has had some interesting problems lately and i was hoping some of you could help...
1. battery drains if car is left parked for more than 1 day. it's not the battery though, b/c i bought a new battery and the problem persisted. also not alternator, because car starts well if jumped and then driven on the highway for awhile. as of now i've just been disconnecting the battery everytime it's parked for long periods.
2. windshield wipers have a mind of their own. once turned on, they keep going even if i turn the wiper switch it off. only consistent remedy is shutting off the car. also, they have an intermittent rhythm, as in wipe once, pause, wipe 3x, pause, etc...sometimes they will stop completely on their own.
3. car refused to start a few days ago even though it was working fine earlier. there's no turnover or any other noise for that matter when i try to start it- it's as if i'm starting the car without pressing down on the clutch. after trying like 20x, i said a prayer and it miraculously worked. it was fine for 2 days, but then yesterday the problem came back and it hasn't started since.
anyone able to offer me some advice on what could be wrong? or if anyone wants to help me take a look at it it's parked in one of the lots at rutgers busch campus...i could offer a guest meal at busch dining hall in return for any services?
