I need a new lsd..help

First of all I've search trough the forum, but not found the info I need..

I'm going at drift day last 2 week with the S14, now I've understand that I really need to change the diff.
I drive the car daily and also for drifting, what I've looking for is a 1.5 way.
But what I've not understand is the compatibility etc.. I think our S14 have a vlsd, so if I buy a Cusco is it a direct bolt on?
I've think about a cusco rs o mz (still not understand which is better for me..)

Any advise or explanation is very appreciate..
The major problem is understand english as well!!

Go with a welded diff for DDays. Everyone loves them!

WASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSUP guy

smogtec did a write up... he bought a direct drop tomei 2way LSD.. from OPEN TO LSD KIT.... since u have a VLSD youd buy the LSD DIRECT DROP IN KIT...http://www.zilvia.net/f/showthread.p...ight=tomei+lsd

theres the write up.... Most ppl who drift prefer the 2way, rather then a 1.5

heres a page on the differences

I believe Cusco RS and MZ are both 1.5 and 2 way adjustable. Supposedly the RS engages 40% faster than the MZ or a Kaaz type differential because it uses springs instead of cones to engage the differential. Its also supposed to be smoother and more durable.

I know 2 people with a cusco 2-way and they both love it. It engages really hard even and slow speeds which is fun and makes gangster noises unlike my Tomei Tomei and Kaaz are basicly the same, the Tomei just engages faster. 2-way is perfectly fine in the rain as long as you arent driving like a complete idiot. Even if you do get into a bad situation its totally controlable.

yep, i plan on running a tomei... i can do with out the noise.... but have read that alot of people add the ford lsd additive with the fluid after breaking in...running a 2 way is more forgiving then running a welded diff and both snap axels.... i suggest locating a open diff to mod... instead of running a clutch type in a already lsd diff... because if your going to snap outputs. locating open outputs is alot easier then locating lsd outputs...

what kind of engine mods do u have hotrodv? so whats ur name?

Massimo..

At the moment I run about 250/280 hp.. but if I find some money I plan to do with a gt2871r next year and be around 350hp..

Do u mean that the cusco make lot noise? I've just read about kaaz..seem good.. and about the 1.5 or 2 ??
My drift skills is basic, I just started to practice with "pendulum" in italian, I think is feint..and ebrake..track where we can try isn't too fast..

Hey my Italian friend, get a Illegal Garage 2way! Same as the Nismo LSD, but much much cheaper! ($400 or so cheaper )

E-mail [email protected] for more information.
