Top Alternator bolt?

Ok so out of nowhere I got squealing from my engine bay. I checked and it was a little loose, so I said I was going to tighten it a little later. Then later on, I realized that my bolt on the top of the alternator (to adjust the position of it) dissapeared. I was wondering what kind of bolt this is. How long is it, what kind of thread, what diameter, etc. Or where I could just ask for it and pick it up? No I don't want to pay $50 for a bolt and wait 6 months from a dealer.

EDIT:Will the top bolt off a SOHC alternator fit? I've seen a few zenki's at the junkyard, but no chukis.

pull the bolt off and put it in your pocket to find out,if it doesnt fit, then you have an extra bolt

you're lucky, i had my lower bolt dissappear once, I guess I was lucky my alternator stayed in the car.

It's my upper bolt that dissapeared. Lower bolt is still there (I hope, its too dark to check)

best thing to do is go to a nissan dealship and order the EXACT bolt you need...

takes a lot of hassle out of it and should only cost you like $3

Yup just go to the dealer if you cant find it. The side bolt well the other bolt that holds the alternator cost me $11 bucks plus like $5 bucks for overnight shipping. Otherwise if you dont want to pay that much try to find a ka somewhere.

i hope you just slipped them in your pocket and got em free

anyone else notice how the cars at the junkyard (at least the ones in missouri) get all the fuses picked out of them? but the 240's fuses are sorta hidden, so all of them stay

omg, i cant believe they cost that much...

flywheel bolts are like $1.50-4.00, so i thought they would be near the same price

ive also heard that some dealers will jack up the price compared to others...

Now I am getting pissed, there are 2 Nissan dealers in my area, one couldn't order the flywheel bolts and the other charged me an arm and a testicle for them.

yeah man, id look into it a bit more, but i got all 6 big flywheel bolts, all the smaller pp/flywheel bolts, 4 bolts (included the nuts and washers) that hook the drive shaft to the diff... all for lke $50 maybe...

i dunno whats up with your situation, but i know my parts guy pretty well (i dont think hes "hooking" me up either) and hes been super cool with helping me with stupid problems in the past... actually i got him to help me with somethig pretty hard, and all he asked for was a 6 pack of tall boys lol

Dam right I did, $2 to get in was all I felt like paying for some bolts.
