![]() ROFL!! HAHAHAH Yeah boy! thats just like MS take a game that is 15 years old and put it on an already outdated console and act like you've done something that is going to change the face of the industry. LOL. Gee thanks MS and Capcom for rehashing a game that has been released 20 times over the last 15 years on just about every single console that has come out since the SNES. And guess what the Snes pushed the graphics just fine. Arcade quality and all. Yeah boy now thats a good reason to go out and get a Xbox 360.

way to misread the article.
its not a xbox 360 push. it says gates *casually* mentioned it. its CAPCOM (not microsoft) that is hyping it up, in case you couldn't tell from the gigantic title on the gamespot article. if you haven't noticed, there's a trend now to release older generation games for cheap over the internet. nintendo is doing it with its huge 8 and 16 bit library for the revolution. capcom is just trying to cash in on the nostalgia as well. |

Sorry man, but graphics for SFII is the same thru out all the platforms. New graphics would be in a new game, series or variant...such as the Alpha series or maybe another variant of SF3.

Yeah. True. they will make loads more money off the same franchise. *shakes head* Shame the people allow them to repackage the same game over and over and over. And they keep buying it. Its like you have to have a streetfighter on whatever console is out. I will admit I do have a copy of SF ex2 for my PS2. But at least that was a 3d version of the game.

Wow
Some of you just have no clue. SF2 on SNES, while obviously better than no SF2 at all on SNES, was a bad conversion... the walking animation forward/backward was the same, timing was thrown off and the sprites were smaller and less detailed. This will probably be emulated, and thus the first "true" perfect conversion that is playable outside of Japan. (Super IIx was released on DC and worked online in Japan) I'd totally whup fools in it, but I dont own/dont ever plan to own a 360. Besides, this isnt meant to be something new, or something revolutionary... its simply a way for people who LOVED the old SF2 and took it seriously to compete against each other and have fun playing the game they love. |

1. Hes gonna throw you. So you throw some type of Dragon Punch to stop him 2. Hes gonna parry. So walk to him and throw him. 3. Hes gonna hit you high. So parry high and counter attack 4. Hes gonna hit you low. So parry low and counter attack. If you choose wrong, then your screwed and this is what happens when "pros" play the game. Simple rock paper scissors. If you wanna play a technical fighter, step up to Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 |

why is xborx and crapcom wasting their time on Champion Hyper Tournement Edition (what ever its called) wait. the reason why its not Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 is because capcom does not have the marvel lisence any more. ![]() Quote:

Actually the mechanics for all the games was basically the same. (except the change when they added the hyper edition. and allowed air combos) And is the same as every other 2d fighter out there. I was lining up at the original SF2 arcade machines. The animations sucked on ALL of them. only once the rehashes and the SF3 did they start to get better but even still its a 2d fighter. MvsC Is actually a much better game as there is much more of an enviroment to work with. And SF2 chars do not get taken so easily if you don't suck. You can pick any combonation and have an equal chance. |

you act like the game will be released in stores and cost 60 bucks, its gonna be available over xbox live and its gonna be like 5 to 10 bucks. Its just an arcade game for the arcade section, come down before you freak out. |

It's on the Anniversary Edition and I would agree that MvC II is more button mashing..but I do like that game too.

hahahaha wow... MvC2 is technical?
hahahahhahahha oh wow, thats like the funniest thing I've ever heard in my life Apparently, learning how to tap the same buttons in sucession after using the same attack to initiate a juggle over and over, and continuing to juggle = technical MvC2 is a joke, its a fun game, but hardly can be called competetive. It requires very little skill and almost no variation in your style. SF3, with all its faults, is far superior a game. of course, its all moot when we get back to the topic of this thread, Super IIx, which is better than both of those games, period. |

Your wrong there. MvC2 is extremely technical because you need to play it for at least a year before you can even be called "decent". With the majority of Sf games, the play mechanics are very similar so it'll take maybe a couple of days to get used to the small differences in each series of game.
The Beauty of MvC2 is that you can't turtle. If you watch two people play CVS or any other type of SF traditional game in a tournament, they just sit on their respective sides and wait for the other person to do something. |

The one bad thing with MvC is that in order to be competitive, you can only use maybe 9 of the 50 something characters available. My team for fun is Magneto, Storm, Sentinel. For Money, its Storm, Sentinel, Commando.
