Knee surgery-thanks s13
Well it looks like I need to have my left knee replaced, woohoo. I wrecked my s13 in a minor fender bender back in june 2004,and dislocated my left knee. Its been mostly fine, just hurts when I try to run or walk alot up until recently its really been giving me hell. After the wreck my back/bone doc said I'll need to have it rebuilt, but not until much later,so I didn't worry about it. Now its killing me,so I went to see my reg. doctor first, before I goto a knee specialist....he says I gotta walk with a cain in the mean time.
I'm fucking 19 years old :-( |

is it the meniscus(sp?) or anything else that has been found associated with what could be causing pain. I'm an amputee and i'm 21, so it happens to both young and old. I have a torn rotor cuff. Make sure you see what physical therapy or arthoscopic surgery options are available first before a full knee replacement try all the minor options first before you commit to the full on replacement. You might end up like old people getting replacements every few years, and having to be gingerly with everything. Keep that as a last resort. Hope all goes well

I had knee surgery when I was 16 or 17. I'm 19 now... I had torn my ACL. And broken my leg/ knee if a few places. Doc said it was something straight from out of a motorcycle crash. Funny it happened when I was running. But after the surgery I wanted to have a cane during the psychical theripy, but my doc said it doesn't teach you how to walk correctly and since it isn't supporting all of your weight you'll keep limping after you are healed. I think my surgery was 8hrs or so. Can't remember. Now all I have to remember it is a scar, and sometimes I wakeup with a stiff leg. Oh that and two screws. Man all that and I'm not even twenty. Haha. Good luck man.
