I have heard that the WS coilovers have the smoothest and most "comfortable" ride in its price range. Any experiences? How do they perform?

They will be about $1k, I think Enjuku had them for $899 at one time. You could always go all out and get the Apexi N1 Coilovers for $1400. http://www.i-m-racing.com has them for that price.

Read some of this post here for more info on the coilovers.

that's funny, I found those N1's @ Intense motorsports for $2400. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place. I dunno. Anyway, cheapest place i've been able to find 'em is @ the 240sx.org parts watch (http://home.earthlink.net/~j240sxna/groupdealsponsor/handling/handling.html)
They have 'em here for $2k. That's my 2 cents on the subject. Lemme know if they have them anywhere for cheaper b/c I need those coilovers!!!
