Unstable ecu voltages?

Hey guys,

Having some issues with my SR, getting her ready to be tuned and I'm seeing (both on my consult and with a multimeter) voltage drop between the motor and the ecu.

With the motor off the battery is around 12.5 volts, with the motor running it's at 14.5 volts.

The ecu reads 11.26 volts with the motor off and 12.8 when the car is idling.

My question is, what could be causing this voltage drop? Is it normal or should I be concerned? I am fairly proficient at wiring, would you guys recommend against hardwiring my ECCS relay to the battery to bypass the body loom and get better voltages in my wiring harness?
