s14 Will VSS and Switches from s14 KA fit on s14 SR?

Hello,

I'm just finishing my swap. I've got a neutral switch, reverse switch, and speed sensor that don't have female plugs on them. I was thinking of possibly splicing on some connectors to make it work (which I will probably do at least for VSS because its expensive).

I have an s14 SR20DET. Anyone know if s14 KA24DE switches will fit on the SR tranny?

Might be cheaper and easier for me to just replace the sensors locally than to order new plugs internationally since we don't have shit here in Canada.

If anyone wants the parts numbers and approx prices from Nissan, I have them listed here:

Speed Sensor:
$195CAD
Part # = 2501071T00

Neutral Switch:
$30.74CAD
Part # = 3200632G2A

Reverse Switch:
$46.83CAD
Part # = 32005 21U1B4683

Chassis specific, gotta match with the speedo you have. So S13 VSS for S13 cluster and S14 VSS for S14 cluster. The only thing I'm not 100% is if the plugs are the same between USDM and JDM. I dont see how S14s would be different since its the plug-in plugs, vs pigtails on S13s.

Thanks for the help guys.

I just got off the phone with Yuri from wiring specialties and he said that the s13 speed sensor has to be used. Neutral switch is useless apparently. And Reverse switch has to be from an SR engine.

I am not sure where I will find the female ends to fit on my harness side. Anyone know what the plug looks like on a SR Reverse switch? Any pic will help.

I also found a useless link here if anyone is curious:

Thanks

I dont see why the reverse switch would matter from which engine they came from all. They're a simple push on switch. Use a KA one, if the plugs doesnt match, find plugs that match and wire/solder them on.

I agree with you. I don't see why it wouldn't work. Maybe different threads. I'll just use the one thats already sitting in the tranny.

I'm just going to cut and splice on new connectors to the reverse switch. I don't think it matters which wire goes to which. Its just a switch.

But.. for my s13 Speed sensor, I think it does matter. I'll splice my green wire to my yellow/green and black to my yellow/black.

I'll just keep my neutral switch in the tranny and leave it disconnected.

Correct me if I am wrong in any of this

Anyone know if the reverse switch and neutral switch are the same thing? Could they be swapped if need be?
