You can send me some pics/info on the IS300.

I would imagine a previous owner had a 1J and hurt the bottom end and decided to replace it with a 2J instead. That is pretty common.

It has eibach sportline springs and I assume stock shocks. Would really benefit from a set of coilovers.

Check your coil packs. They're notorious in this engine for developing cracks/misfires. I fought mine forever and it was the connector to the coil pack, but I'd start there if you have a basic understanding of the engine/wiring.

Thanks for the info guys. Yeah, I swapped out the coil packs for the super spark coils and swapped the coil connectors as well.

Hey man got my is300 painted and now sitting on candy blue work emotions cr kai's. Its now glacier frost mica with added galaxy blue pearl in the mid coat. Looks sick and still adding new parts daily. let me know if your interested.

Found that one of the leads to a coil pack were crossed. Is running much better now. Car is perfectly daily driveable.
