Ford 4.2 V6 into s13

so basically i used to have an s13 loved it but sold it because i couldn't afford to fix/modify it at the time. So i want to get another one but i dont want a stock motor and also money is tight. i have a 1999 F-150 with a 4.2 V6 5 Speed it only has 120k on it and has been very reliable. i was thinking about just buying a shell then taking the motor from my truck and putting it into an s13. already have the motor and i dont need the truck so that cuts down on the price of the build and will make the car decently better than a stock KA. So i was just wondering if anyone had heard of doing this swap. its kinda random and wouldnt be my first choice at all in an engine but its what i got in my head for now. any pointers would help and criticism too.

The engine might be too big. We all know fords v8s are huge so idk about the v6

yeah definitely gonna do measurements before i even attempted it. but i was thinking if an ls1 fits i know my 4.2 is smaller than that. but still dont know till i measure shit out

im not saying you "give up", my point is if you have a working truck why would you remove the motor to put it in a 240? i could understand if the truck was totaled or some shit like that, espically since you said money is tight, i would use the truck to commute to work or school.

I think it would be a cool swap and since you already have most of it it should be pretty easy, just gotta get a driveshaft and some mounts and wire it up and rock on. plus it should run for a long time and make much more power than a ka like you said..

i like you haha. yeah i think its like 225hp but 280ft lbs so i think it would be cool. different is always nice too and like you said i got most of what i would need powertrain wise so why not

i'd be glad to tell you the same things in person. this forum USED to be a useful tool for nissan owners, now its rapidly becoming a shit pile of "hey i can't think for myself so can somebody else tell me my own opinion" threads.
