If your springs are stiffer than the stock springs by 50%, or drop more than 1.5", then they'll blow quite quickly.
I have the Tanabe GF210 springs on GR-2s, and have had them for more than 2 years, and they have held up fine. That's because they're right around the 50% stiffer than stock margin, and they lowered the car 1.5" from stock, front and rear. |

I run this same setup, it's ok had it for about a year and shocks are still good, car is still very smooth and its a decent drop.
