Tie rod question?

Hello, I just installed some new tie rods. I took the lock plate off and didnt get a thread lock or whatever its called. Will it stay in ok without either. I also didnt put the rubber protecter back over it. Will anything be damaged from not having that. Thanks for you help.

Just buy some blue threadlock, and take the extra time to place the protective boot back on.
I mean it is your car and you should take car of it propperly.

Threadlocker will hold fine, the lock plate isn't really needed. The boot however is, unless you like replacing racks once a month.
