s13 new rebuild on KA24e, running into problems. HELP!

just rebuilt the motor, ka24e. the car starts but is running rough. checked and set timing and idle at 650 with TPS out, when the TPS is plugged back in the car will shake start and then die as if it idles too low? took out the IACV and cleaned it with carb cleaner and all that. Another big problem is the car seems to be running rich and will not rev past 2500?? could this be due to too rich of a mixture? it's almost as if it has a rev limiter at 2500. Already replaced the o2 sensor, maybe a bad MAFS? bad IACV? any suggestions as to why it wont hold idle with the TPS or why it wont rev past 2500? All help is appreciated, thanks guys!

2500 is your ecu going into a fail safe mode, usually due to your MAFS being bad and sending incorrect voltages. have you tried adjusting your TPS? with a SR, if your tps is bad then your ecu is supposed to just ignore it, not sure about KA. Try a new one, they are like 60 bucks, if it doesnt fix it, take it back, thats what i did.

well the mafs is what should be putting your ecu into the fail safe mode, but i think your tps can as well. but i was refering to your tps sensor because its easy to change and you can always take it back. its running rich because when in fail safe mode your ecu sets your timing and fuel injection and shit like that to a predetermined amount. change the tps then post. make sure you adjust it right.
