SR20 wont shift into gear...

Guys, I know you think i'm retarded, but my damn trans (SR20DET) won't shift into gear with the car running. Turn it off and it shifts fine. Start it in gear with the clutch pedal down and it launches.

Pulled the trans down to check the pressure plate, all I see is heat scoring. Put a KA slave cyl on it (right part or no?) and checked the fluid to make sure there were no gear/syncro parts in it. Throwout bearing still spins fine and looks to be in good condition.

Need some help people, help me out!!! Putting an 89 Maxima clutch kit in anyways just because I already bought one.

well it sounds like your clutch is not disengaging. if you already replaced your slave, then change your master. while you are doing that get a stainless steel line and take that second bleeder box out with the looped tube and run the fitting straight from your master to your slave. then bleed properly. also, you cannot look at a pressure plate and tell if it is good or not as far as the pressure it obtains. so if you have your tranny off, then go ahead and change that shit cuz you know what a pain in the ass it is to get the tranny off.

i think that you should take out your clutch and say screw it and then try to shift. I bet that will work or maybe you could get an automatic. That might help too.

already replaced the clutch, waiting to put the trans back up on tue when I have access to a lift....if the master was bad, the slave wouldn't work though, I've watched it work, so it's not a hydraulic problem. Any other suggestions?

clutch stuff is pretty simple
if you got hydrolics then the clutch install is wrong or something isnt instlaled correctly

theres only a few things that can go wrong.

my friend got sent the wrong clutch part (i think they sent the wrong clutch disk), it fit fine but wouldnt go into gear when the car was running.
