Hi, I'm not to knowledgeable when it comes to fixing cars and what not, but I've been learning alot of stuff thanks to you guys and these cool boards... anyways, every once in a while a hissing sound will come from the rear right of my car.  <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cry.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='

Cliff's Notes: Hissing sound coming from right side of car after flooring it/giving a lot of gas. Hole in the muffler, but sound is coming from the opposite side.

its probably just the sound that the exhaust makes under haevy engine breaking Because there is hole, it doesnt have to be coming out of the hole.    
anyway im just guessing, but its no big deal, just a little annoying.

can you tell if it's coming from the front or back?

It definetely sounds like its coming from the back I think.  I just took a look under and whoever the guy was that owned the car before me hit one hell of a dip... Some of the exhaust piping is loose and the skid plate (? the plastic thing under the engine compartment) is scraped up and half is loose.  I plan on getting a full exhaust system in a couple of weeks and I was hoping this would get rid of the sound. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/huh.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':huh:'>
