Cute. Personally I would run the biggest most bad ass hoodpin I could find.
Windshields are expensive. Lawsuits from your hood hitting the car behind you at 90 in california is even more so.

Here are the one's I'm planning to purchase. They a more expensive then typical pins, but they AUTO-LATCH!.
http://www.hoodpins.com/ I wouldn't really be worried with how cool the pins look. You should be more concerned with how well the pins work.

I have had the locking pins before and somewhat like them. Like them because I can lock my hood (no latch), but the locking mechanism is very flimsy and sometime loses track. I end up using the conventional sparco/veilside pins.

id stick with the traditional cotter pin or captive pin japanese style pins, the locking type are very prone to failure, the hoodpins.com type if you look at them you will notice that there is only like 5mm of engagment, maybe good enough for a showcar, not good enough for me.
http://www.aerocatch.com/introduction.html this is the only kind of pin i would consider outside of the traditional cotter designs. |

Yea I've used sparcos in combination with the built in latch for 3 track days and it was good. My new hood doesnt have a latch, so I will be using 4 hood pins and not the hinges so the hood is easy to take off. I like the Sparcos, simple and cheep. $35 a set or something and the come in different colors!
