Question Speed sensor Question (I searched)

Well I have been searching every where but can't find an answer. I am about to do an auto to manual swap. The tranny came off a 1991 nissan 240sx, and will be installed into a 1995. So I bought a brand new s14 speed sensor and it came with out the red gear on the end. So my question is, would the one on the auto speed sensor fit or will I need to order a new one? and is the connector for both speed sensors the same?

Dont really want to wait another week to start the swap because I need to go back to work in a week.

i'm guessing the pinion from the auto and the manual are different...i do know that an pre 95 pinion will not fit onto a post 95 speed sensor so that rules out trying to put the pinion from your 91 to the new sensor. but again, not sure if the auto one will fit in the tranny and/or work

Yes, you can use the s14 auto pinion gear on the s14 manual sensor.
