No, you're all wrong.
The red and yellow hoses do add more horsepower, but they both sacrifice precious backpressure that's ESSENTIAL for torque. You need to use Type-G Racing hose. Just look at the results.

i THINK i heard about that infamous type-g. Someone in a funny car pullin mid 7 told me it was all because of type-g and I had NO clue what he was talking about.... i figured hiis speed was from the lite body and haul ass motor....boy is my face red.

im sure if that valve cap is replaced with a Tpye-R cap, hell be sure to dominate the 1/4.... be careful, that no toy

remember you have to add a type-R sticker as a finishing touch to that thing... and your car will be fully built automatically... 7 sec car... easy

iirc that's the stupid hose that comes from somewhere in the exhaust system. it blows HOT exhaust back into the intake tract for re-combustion. it's one of those stupid emissions things, or that hose might come from the EGR valve. i don't know if it's the same thing people often  replace with a small "breather filter," or not. but i don't think it's a sensor of any sort. and btw......if you're serious about that whole backpressure=torque thing, you're wrong.
