Unhappy Small Paint Scuffs. How do I remove them?

Ok. To start off, don’t shoot me.. I was being stupid, and tried to remove some tar from my car... (2 years ago)

Well to make a painful story short. I used the green side of a kitchen sponge. And left swirl marks in a few spots in my paint. And when I removed the sun visor from my mood roof, It was scratched under that to. The car looks fine from a distance, But its starting to bug me now.

So how would remove these without ruining my (mostly) nice red paint?

Take it to a shop?

here's what I'd try before taking it to a shop - $100

Step 1: Clay bar (Mothers or similar) - $15
Step 2: Polish or polishing compound (polish only, like "step2" polish from meguiars...no combo polish/wax) $5
Step 3: Carnuba Wax (like step 3 from meguiars, again, no combo waxes...pure carnuba wax) $5

That should remove light scratches and you'll be amazed at the over difference in the color and shine...but you;'ll be at it about 2 hours for the whole car

I think the mothers clay bar kit comes with carnauba wax already.

No it doesn't. It comes with a lubricating spray that is used with the clay bar though. Mother's Showtime I believe. Makes the car extremely smooth.

S100... seen it in an ad before somewhere. Just wondering, how is it better than the other waxes? Or how does it compare with other company waxes (meguiar, mothers, etc.)?

And the clay bar does come with wax. Oops, my bad.
