If anyone can help me out here, that would be great!! I just pulled my SIlvia s15 converted 240sx out of the body shop this past Friday. While I was driving it home, the dash lights began to dim, and then all of a sudden they went out. I didn't notice at first, but then I realized that my headlights and taillights went out also. I have been told that the problem is most likely my dimmer switch, but if I install a new dimmer switch, will it happen again? Is the stock 240 dimmer able to handle the new s15 lights? Please help me out!!

i dont think the dimmer switch would have anything to do with the head and tail lights just the int lights and gages,i would take it back to the body shop that did the conversion, did you check your fuses,i would take it back to the body shop.

I had this very same problem on my toyota camry. The dimmer switch was blowing a fuse that resulted in not allowing the running lights in both front and back to turn on. I also couldn't dim anything on my dash. I had to replace the fuse and the dimmer switch and everything worked again.

Check for blown fuses first. Try replacing those... and if they go again, check the dimmer switch for problems.
