it's just an editorial by some guy who thinks Nissan should shoot themselves by giving us the S15.. ignore it. I think it's pretty old.

that's cool and all but if nissan sends us another f'n N/A car I will personally go in to a random Nissan dealership and open fire. I am sick of getting watereddown versions of cars that have so much potential in turbo form. A beautiful S15 that can't outrun a damn spec-V sentra

Why is that guy such a moron? I don't understand... has he said anything completely wrong? ... I'm at a complete loss.

The S15 Varietta, for those of you who aren't "in the know," is a convertible version of the S15 which comes with a SR20DE standard in Japan. There is no turbocharged version, except for the few that have been installed with turbos by their owners.

Just becuase he describes your beloved S14s in a way you might not necessarily agree with doesn't mean he's a flaming retard who doesn't know shit about Nissans, in fact, I happen to generally agree with his comment on S14s. Generally. I mean if nothing else, put an S13 hatch up next to an S14 and take a good look at them. it's obvious which is the sports car and which is the more luxurious. Granted, of course, that in japan the S13 and S14 Silvias both looked pretty tame.

I really don't see why all of you are hating, since he's not relaying any false information OR bashing any of you personally... he's just asking for the wrong thing. (i.e. when he should be asking for the S15 Spec-R, he's instead looking to bring the n/a S15 varietta.) ....
He doesn't seem all that ignorant to me.

What are you folks all on about?

It's a piece of editorial... and dead-on I might add (his point is not to bash the 240SX or the S14 - but to note that it was castrated and mutilated for the US market).

The Silvia Varietta is a gorgeous car, and it could have sold well here, perhaps even better than the Spec-R we'd all love to drive. Ask a Mazda dealer how long Miatas sit on the lot.

No chance of that now, of course. S15 production ends for good in August, possibly the Silvia line in general. Who knows what they'll build in the Kyushu plant now, more Pathfinders I guess.

I persoanlly think everyone is lookin gtoward "the future". If its not in the US now, it probably never will be. Not in the fassion we know and love. The S-15 wont make it, but maybe the S-19 will some time down the road, which will look like the 350Z or "Supra prototype". Thats the bitch, there isnt a damn thing we can do.
