Question About Slave Cylinders
What's the difference between the nismo slave cylinder and the stock one? Besides the price that is. Thanks

Hello Feb 2004 - could someone answer this?
I'm going witha Tokico (who is an OEM supplier) this time for $16, since they want $40ish to the OEM, and 150 plus for the Nismo.. for SR with Spec stage 2...6 months on the advance auto slave and first doens't like to engage sometimes...somethimes also grinds when trying. time fore replacement since I did the master cylinder 2 months ago...

if you have a heavy duty pressure plate, cheapo slave cylinders will tend to start leaking rather quickly. People who are sick of changing it out every 4 months usually just go OEM ($40 at Nissan) and never have any problems with leaks for a while. IIRC, Alex Pfiefer blew out countless slave cylinders until he got an oem one, then everything was gravy.
I wouldn't waste my $ buying the nismo. |

Because - 1. I searched, 2. had the same question, 3. and the question was not answered in the search results. And still is not.... Don't get your panties in a bunch... Maybe it utilizes $120 rubber seals?

why the hell would you need a nismo slave cylinder... i'm using a OEM $15 replacement, its brand new and hasn't fucked up in like seven months i could buy like ten for the price of the nismo and by the math thats like 70 months or so and i doubt the nismo will last that long
