Altima fan - One fan or two.. low or high?

Okay, I searched and it's not about wiring!! Well sort of..

Setup: S13 Sr20det, FMIC, AC, bolts-ons.. koyo copper rad and altima fan.

I am able to have the fans come on at two different temperature setting using a fan controller.

Question is, which is a better setup:

A. Better to have both the fans go on low when it hits the first setting and both fans on high when it hits the second temp setting?

B. One fan on low on first setting and the other off, two fans on high on the second setting.

C. One High the other off first setting, both fans high second setting.

D. Any other combinations you can think of..

Reason why I'm asking this is because I want to put as little drain on the alternator/battery/electrical system as necessary.. but want sufficient cooling.

Also at what temps would you set the fans to turn on? Such as 174 for low, 186 for high?

I've driven without the fans on at all and it will be under the normal operating temps unless you're idling for quite a bit or the AC is on.

Car will be street driven, tracked occasionally. THanks.

my friend has a koyo aluminum radiator and that it overcools his engine. when he was using clutch fan he had to put a piece of cardboard in from of his radiator to warm up his car. now he switch to efans and he only has 1 fan on it.

but why dont you experiment with whatever setup is good and keeps your temperature in the middle. everyone's setup is different and varies

btw, what fan controller are you using. and how did you do the wiring for a/c in sr?

Will be easier to control both fans as an unit.
Try low at 180 and high at 200
Also, use the fan controller to turn the fans with AC and 0 MPH
Turn them off after 25 mph unless a overheat situation (over 212) is present.

I would say somthing like B.

When the car is at 0-20MPH have both of them on LOW, and when it reaches 180* Have both of them on High, and when your car is off and your turbo timer kicks in, have both of them on high till your turbo timer turns em off.

Thats if you have 3 settings choices =x

Thanks for the responses.. I'm just going to switch to one low the other off on the lower setting, and both on high on the hot setting and see how that works. The settings are by temperature, not MPH.. temperature is user selectable and reads from the coolant temp sensor. It's a DiF fan controller btw.

Currently it's set up to run both at low at first, then both at high at second temp. Thanks.
