Are SR and KA tranny's the same?

Just wondering cause my SR tranny just took a shit, sounds like metal parts in a blender when the car is running.

I'm glad you asked, as this has never been discussed before in the history of Zilvia.net.

Hey, useless post for useless questions. It has been discussed time and again that you can swap the bell housings to make the trannys work. If you weren't being lazy and actually searched, you wouldn't have had to create a new thread. I was being sarcastic and making light of the situation.

Way to go fuckwad, prove that you're both lazy and stupid. How about asking another question that's been covered for 15+ years and see what happens.

5th gear ratio is different, .759 vs. .838. Again, old, old, old info.

No, 'cuz bellhousing is different. Which is where the flywheel sits.. and it mates to the block.. not the tranny.

I was under the assumption the .838 5th gear ratio was used on SR20DE's not DET's... The SR and KA trans I've compared side by side had the same exact forward gears. The KA also doesn't have a synchro'd reverse gear and a much smaller synchro on one of the gears; 2nd gear if iirc.
