Wiring/Starting troubles

Hey guys
First post here at zilvia.net

I did try the search but came up with irrelevant solutions.
So don't

We're currently in the middle of an s13 Sr20 Redtop into an 1996 240sx

We are attempting to turn it over to prime the turbo, but when we turn the key the starter clicks as if the battery was dead.
We tested as well as had the battery and the starter tested and they both are good.
We've tried several ground patterns
our current one is the negative terminal ran to block, block, alternator, starter. I believe thats all.

Any ideas guys?

Thanks in Advance

Chris
