Ok, I was driving home from the movies today and it starting overheating even though the car had been sitting for about two hours.  Now about a month ago I replaced the radiator because it had a leak and it was cooling fine until today.  How do I find out whats wrong?  Like if the thermostat is bad.  Thanks

ok do you have any coolant in there?? if not find out where its leaking from
if there is coolant in there than it could most likely be the termostat!!

After you have tried everything have a place check the headgasket. &nbsp;I tried to find out why my car was overheating for a couple months. &nbsp;I replaced every part of the cooling system before a place did a test that registered the problem. &nbsp; This is not to say i didnt have it tested before. &nbsp; Two differnet places checked it before they found the blown gasket. &nbsp;Only the third place found it and fixed it. &nbsp; Now it runs great. &nbsp; <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'>

Try this for shits and giggles...While engine is cold, remove the radiator cap, and stick the end of a garden hose in there. &nbsp;Turn on the water and engine, and just let the water overflow from the radiator, and accasionally rev the engine up and just play around w/ the throttle!
I did this after i replaced my radiator hose, and had it overheat on me. &nbsp; After that it has run just under the middle mark on the temp gauge!

good luck,
-zac
