Automatic s14, converted to 5spd, but using 5spd body harness, doesnt run please help

car:
96 240sx, all stock, kA24DE

run down:
i bought this car from my friend, who converted it from auto to 5spd, yes it ran, and because he had the car slammed on 18s, he decided to chop the body/fuse box harness, then relocated it inside the engine bay(to avoid rubbing issues). IMO, not the right way to do it, but it's done...well, he then soldered every single wire back together, but when he started to solder the 1st few wires, he used the wrong solder(the rest are fine), but those few wires with wrong solders doesnt have good connections and causes the car to do some odd stuff, like a/c cutting on and off, tach bouncing around crazy and so forth.

after driving it for a month now, it bothered me...
my solution:
buy a 5spd body/fuse box harness and swap it in...

I found a 96 body harness thats from a manual car, i chopped the old harness for quick removing and put the new one in....but ran into some problems...

1st problem:
the 'Dropping Resistor' on the driverside wheel well, nothing is going to that now...so theres no signal to tell the ecu that the car is in park(am i correct)?

2nd problem: the wire that is usually jumped on an auto harness is not there anymore. What can I do?

well, now the car wont run, it would power up, horn works, lights, radio, a/c blower, etc. but theres not signal to start the car.

Basically, i think i just need to get the starter a signal so that it would start. The car still has the auto ecu, and auto engine harness, would I need to change those to manual ones for it to start up?

my friend put the car back to complete stock before i bought it...so the car is not slammed on 18s anymore and i dont need to tuck the harness. This is my daily, and i need it to run so i can go to work!!
Please help!

thanks in advance...

on the fuse box look for the plug with the two wires. Cut those and splice them together.

thanks for the help, but it wasnt specific enough...

o well, i fixed the problem, got the car to run...

i just cut off the starter plug and wiring off of one of my 95 tranny harness and used that wire to plug into the three pronged harness on the 5spd body harness...

thanks for the help

The dropping resistor has nothing to do with a manual car, it maintains line pressure in the automatic. You don't need it.

You figured the starter out, but basically the manual harness has a clutch interlock relay, while the auto uses a park inhibit switch, it's found in the auto's harness while the interlock is inside the main fusebox.
