Hey guys im trying to run seafoam through the engine to clean it out a bit. Seafoam says to run it throgh PVC valve or the Brake Booster. When I disconnect those hoses the engine stalls out so I cant run the seafoam through. How do you guys run seafoam through your engines?

I sucked it into the vacuum line attached to the air intake tube that feeds the IACV and also into the throttle body.
You should disconnect the MAF plug first, that may be why it was stalling since it wasn't getting the air it was expecting.

You should definately use the search button next time. Type in seafoam and you will get a lot of details answers.

But here it is...

To pour seafoam into your engine. Yes, unplug the brake booster hose and pour the seafoam in. If your engine want to die then have someone play with the throttle to keep the idle up and running. The engine shut off because you didn't pour it in fast enough. As soon as you unplug it, put your thumb over it to keep the engine from dying.

they are forgeting to say 1 important thing....

ENJOY THE MASSIVE CLOUD OF SMOKE that will pour out of ur exhaust. it filled my friends whole street when we did my ka a few yrs ago. idk if id do it on the sr20 tho.

Thanks for all the help. I unpluged the MAF and was able to feed it through the PCV hose. Didn't get the massive ammount of smoke that I was expecting. Got a fair ammount, but with 15 acres the neighbors dont even notice. Again thanks for the help you guys rock.

BTW I did try searching for info about seafom with the search button but all it brought up was people saying how well it worked, not how they did it.
