Newly swapped sr20det runs for 10sec. with no throttle response and dies
Sorry if this has been covered, but I have been searching on and off for two weeks. I have everything hooked up (I think) and the engine fires right up and runs (roughly) for 10-15 seconds then dies. Then only runs for 7-10sec. and dies. Then it won't start. I think it may be getting too much fuel but I haven't upgraded the fuel pump yet and I just put new spark plugs in and no change occured. Maybe I am not getting enough spark? Thanks in advance for any help on this, I am about to set it on fire

check if you hook up every vaccum source right then check vaccum leaks on all vaccum hoses,i/c,cold pipe, hot pipe, mafs (unplug itsee i engine will fires up),if you corrected something that you think it might be source of problem, then go ahead try to fire it up if the idle stay high or low its ok try to adjust your timming then correct the idle,if you have no clue just IM me.

I would also check your timing and you might even want to double check your cam timing to see if they are in the right direction, my friends DET did the same thing and sure enough the car had skipped a tooth on the sprocket

I unplugged the maf and it did the same thing. I am going to mess with some vacuum lines now and the main problem is I only get a couple of chances to try diff. things because after it runs twice it won't start again for a couple hours. I first thought the old plugs were garbage because they were dark colored and had fuel on them after it wouldn't start. Then I put in new plugs and it has only run twice on those. I am going to check the new plugs to see if they are dark colored now and also check each plug for spark and then mess with the bov line. If anyone has a good picture of where the hoses go, I would appreciate it. Then I can see if I have it right. Thanks guys
