phase 2 has a bunch of those magnetic drain plugs... maybe you might as well get one of those.

That would be the best way.

If you're in a crunch, you may also use an oil pan drain plug from a 1991-93 Nissan Sentra SE-R B13. I pulled this off of my friend's SE-R and it fits just fine. Same thread pitch and everything.

Check your local auto parts store if you're in a crunch.

Edit: I misread the question. I thought you were asking about the oil pan drain plug. I'll leave the information for future reference.

The OEM gearbox drain plug is magnetic. Even though the gearbox bellhousing is slightly different between the KA and SR, they use the same drain and filler plug. I can confirm this because I replaced my SR gearbox drain plug with one from a SOHC KA.

why would you say that?

If i recall, the bellhousing are different, the fifth gear ratios are slightly different, and one may be an inch or less longer than the other.

Swap the housings and they should be interchangeable...but i still stand by my statement.....sr and ka trannies are different.
