dry grip is supposed to be real good.
wet traction is amazing. treadwear is low but they last longer than you'd expect. i've read a few reviews that said they were noisy. biggest plus is they are cheap as hell since they've been discontinued. i'm thinking of getting a set myself. |

thanks you very much!!
OK, now another question!! G Force KDW Good or bad? Thinking of running BFGOODRICH G Force KDW in 255/35/18 FRONT and the above Falken FK 451 in 275/35/18 in the rear Are both those tires comparable, and should i have a decent balance with those brands/sizes in front and rear? Right now i'm running a 245/45 front and a 255/45 rear and still get oversteer. Wanna go a lil wider and shorter sidewall... |

i dont like those KDWs - never had tires that wide tho. Where u gettin 451s super cheap? I could use some - I just ordered federals on a few peoples recommendation - but i dont think they make big mofos like those u want.

Why don't you like the KDW's??
I'm getting a pair of the fk 451's for 130 the pair...90 percent tread. the kdw's are 100 the pair...70 percent. They are the EXACT sizes i was looking for, just wondering about grippy-ness. Dont want to waste a penny if they suck at grip, as thats what i'm going for!!! thanks again for your opinions guys...keep em coming! why no kdw's and is that about the right stagger for grip? |

451's are cheap brand new (but not that cheap in that size)
anyplace that still has them in stock should have them on clearance. they were replaced by 452s a while ago. there are other ways to dial out oversteer. why don't you try removing the rear sway bar or changing up relative tire pressures. |

I've messed with tire pressure and suspension settings a bit. (apexi-coilvers and s.t. swaybars).
I REALLY want larger tires front and rear anyways.. Basically i want to go as wide as possible, while maintaining balance. The largest i think i'll fit with my rolled fenders in the front is a 255. Of course i could go with a 305 or something in the rear, but that would totally offset the 255 front. So with 255 front, i think a 275 rear would balance well.... Opinions, problems, ideas? And what aoubt those bfgs??? thanks again for your time! |

bfg kdw2s are wicked, ugly ass tred though. Excellent grip, okay in the rain too. 451s are pretty bad, low grip(terrible for breaking..okay in the rain. and if your drifting they fall apart.

451 is or was a good street tire.
not so good if you plan on competing with them. they were used successfully in auto-x, but they were shaved. not something you want to do for a dd. |

I've heard alot of good about the KDWs, I say do it. For that cheap, why not?
FK451s are cool, part of the evolution of the FK452. FK452 is FK451 and ST115 put together.
