How to put in oil seals?

OMG. it's such a bitch. I seriously screwed up one of them trying to do it today. I put it on the guide and then tried to drive it in (after numerious attempt to just push it on) and it just wouldn't go on the guide. How am I supposed to do this?

PS- WTF happened to 240sxforums?

oh, let me clarify. I'm talking about valve oil seals. Not the front or rear engine seals.

You mean valve STEM seals? Did you clean off the valves? There might be buildup on them preventing the seal from sliding on.

You can try pushing it on with a deep socket around 10-12mm and some oil for lubrication.
