open the hood and locate the nut holding the emblem to the bumper. use like an 8mm or 7mm socket and go behind the emblem and start loosening the nut by hand. once the emblem starts to move around, turn the emblem counter-clockwise, using the socket to hold the nut still, until the emblem comes off.
do the same procedure, except in reverse, to re-install the emblem.

Would a front emblem off the s13 fit the s14 as well? I'm looking to get one, so if anyone has one here, do tell.

if memory serves me correct, that emblem is plastic, and powdercoating it would most likely melt it. I have a home powder coating system from eastwood company, and it only works on solid metal parts, because it needs to be static charged to allow the powder to stick to it. Then you have to bake it in a 400 degree oven. yea
