Exclamation 240sx on Pinks

So i went to MIR last night where they were filming Pinks. They did a couple races but I was only there for one episode. To my suprise, one of the cars was a yellow S13 from PA. The car the S13 was supposed to race didn't make it or something so that team actually donated some money for the "victoms of street racing" foundation or w/e (sounds kinda like BS, but anyways). They ended up pulling out some foxbody Mustang. The Mustang didn't look nearly as hardcore as the S13 race car.

The first run, the S13 wasn't working and couldn't make it to staging on time so the 5.0 made a pass alone. It was pretty quick (high 11sish?).

Comming to the time for the 2nd run, the S13 barely finished working on the car. They run heads up. The S13 hops off the launch and passes the 5.0 within a few seconds and smokes it good.

There was dispute about the S13 red lighting and this and that blah blah blah. Same crap happens on the next couple runs as they slightly adjust their negotiations. FYI, the Mustang is taking a huge beating. It was catching fire at the end of each run.

On the last negotiation, they agreed for the S13 to pull out his bottle and give the 5.0 11 car lengths. They go for it and the S13 hooks instantly on launch and pulls on the Mustang very rapidly. Something in the Mustang's engine bay is igniting fire as hes going all the way down the strip. From the bleechers, it was apparent the S13 caught up to the Mustang with no problem. Turns out the S13 got the 5.0 by 3 car lengths.

It was cool to see an S13 race car on the track but at the same time im some what disapointed to be hearing this and that about 240s in ebonics from a bunch of random ghetto ppl in the bleechers which leads me to believe there will be more and more riced out 240s on the streets and them participating in illegal street racing activities.

Hmm,I'll have to keep my eye out for that pinks..I usually don't watch that show.
Go nissan though! Glad to hear a fox got beat finally...I am getting slightly sick of all this talk about foxs being the best drag cars and blah blah, although they are a pretty good bargain and cheap to build

Foxbodies are the cheapest to make fast. The S13 was a full out race car, while the Mustang looked streetable. Keep in mind it was a replacement car for the car the S13 was SUPPOSED to race.

i dont think they are airing for another 8-10 weeks.

Why is every car on that show either a camaro or stang?
And in every episode it seems one of the cars breaks something or leaks something.
IMO that shows pretty lame.

nice s13 though

Because Camaros and Mustangs are easy to make go fast in a straight line.

i think cars that are on there break because of the time and budget. we built the 240 in 2 months with the majority of junk yard parts. so many people touched the car and worked on it that errors were bound to happen. Our biggest problem was using a cheap Advanced Autoparts fuse box.

Nothing is really "easy" to be made to go fast
