when i jerk my tranny around
i can hear a popping sound in the back of my car
i knew my tranny mount was bad
so i changed that today
nismo mounts
but it still did the same thing
and so i jacked up the rear end by jacking up the diff.
and i saw the whole back end suspension shift
it looked like they werent supporting the rear (whatever you call it, suspension)

it looks like theres too much spacing. i have no idea what the parts are called or whatever.

i need help. its pissing me off badly. please help with anything.

i figured it was my subframe bushings.. thanks for the link!

alright. for the vibration. here's the story. i never really had this problem before. i lowered my car with some tein lowering springs my friend gave me for the time being. thats when i noticed a lil vibration. i checked under the car and i saw that my stock tension rod bushings were broken so i changed those. i bought kazama tension rods and installed them. but that only made my vibrations worse. i have gotten my tires balanced and it didnt work. do you really think i just need an alignment?

the whole rear end drops maybe like an inch when lifting it by the diff.

the other thing is, would this make my car shake when reaching speeds of like 70-80 mph? i feel the vibrations from the front.

the vibration from the front is probably caused by a shitty alignment or not balanced wheels

And if the subframe itself dropps an inch when you lift it up that is not normal and your subframe bushings are worn out.

You should get subframe collars. Bushings are a pain to install.

That will fix the rear end problem.

You should get your tires balanced. Vibration comes from your wheels needing to be balanced. But get an alignment also just because chances are you are long over due. And you have a slight drop.

You might have blown shocks as well, that also contributes to unwanted vibrations/shaking/hopping

And 2nd on subframe bushing instal being a PITAl....get the spacer collars, they are easy to install, inexpensive, and very effective

thanks guys. actually i checked all the shocks, made sure they were alright and double checked on the installation. everything seems fine. the only thing i can think of is getting an alignment now. but can the vibrations be this bad with just an alignment problem?

If the tires are worn out funny it definitely can, my Kumho Ecsta MX does this, almost feels like rolling on offroad truck tires from the vibations.

When does it vibrate when you are going 70-80 mph? Are you accelerating/decelerating, going straight or slightly turning? How is the road; slight bumps or smooth like glass?

umm i dont have to accelerate or anything. it does it on its on. accelerating or decelerating, it doesnt matter. any road condition too. it still vibrates.

and yes, my tires are worn down. you think thats a problem?

80% of the time it is the rear shocks blown.

Do you have power steering? I had vibration like yours when my power steering pump crapped out. Even though I was going straight on the freeway, it would vibrate, and then stop a mile later, but it would happen again later on.
