I know im gonna catch shit for this question but i gotta ask because im impatient. i have the money right now to buy some camshafts and springs. im looking at getting a set of brian crower 272/272's. now my questions, first, if i get these can i run them with stock cam gears or will i need to change cam timing right away? next, will it cause any damage if i run these without tuning? i have all intentions of getting cam gears and an aftermarket ems when finances allow. but for now id like to slap these in.

u can slap them on, but the gain would nowhere be as near as if you got them tuned.

right on, i know i would be MUCH better after a tuning, but id rather take the 500 dollars it cost for a chip and tune deal and put it towards the aem ems or something along those lines. i just wanna make sure im not risking leaning out my engine or doing any serious damage this way.
