Retractable headlight conversion? Kinda like the Z31? I don't think anyone would want to defile the front of a Z like that, so chances of there being anything like that are very slim.

I don't think anything like that exists in the states. Maybe a custom job, nothing mass produced.

On an off topic note - the Lamborghini Diablo uses the same headlights as the 300zx.

I know the Fiero kit cars use 300ZX headlights to look like like Diablos. But I didn't think they were used by Lambo themselves.

^ yah seriously.......

Hell I cant even tell if thats a real diablo up there..... Those replica's they make were pretty good, lots of old man money invested into those kit cars.... I could imagine the 240 community attempt at a kit car, they would buy some rims, and change out the decals and call it aday afterlowballing themselves.

Exactly so why change the headlamps of a Z if even a Lambo rocks them?

Because they suck shit as far as actual light output goes?

I used to own a Z, and couldn't see shit with those lights.

Ended up putting high beam bulbs in the low beam projector housing, and they worked OK in putting out more light, but still, those projector housings in there blow nuts.

Best thing to do is do an HID retrofit into that housing, then it'll be baller.

Why would you do that though?

The fixed headlights provide much better aerodynamics... unless you're gonna put the flip ups on the Z32 and never use them for lighting purposes when you need them the most?

True, light output sucks, but they look sexy. Much like old Nissan lighting, retrofitting is the best bet.
