Using a wider metal headgasket?
So i bought a cometic headgasket on ebay cheap $50. I blew mine and this was too much of a deal to miss. Thing is, its a 91mm .040". Will it be ok to throw it in the KA with out having to bore it out? thanks

if you really compare it to any other one. Make sure its not more than 1 mm over sized.

Cometic head gaskets are fine as long as you're not pushing crazy boost.
Somone a while back posted a picture of their Cometic HG and it looked all tore up. If you're planning on running NA, stock boost, or only slightly over stock, a Cometic HG should be fine. FWIW, I run a Cometic head gasket and haven't had any problems yet. |

.040 over is too big IMHO, but I've heard Cometics work best about .5mm too big. I'd say don't use it, and get a better one, or at least a Cometic that fits.
