Install went well, car runs like dirt

Okay here goes.
92 Ka-t , last night we installed my (very quick to arrive) Enthalpy ECU, 370's (new o-rings and pintle caps), N60MAF, new plug wires, new air filter, new plugs NGK BKR6ES gapped to 37*. Everything went in fairly smoothly, set the base timing to 20*ish. Not gonna lie, I have an ASP pulley, making my base timing questionable. All done, the car fired up after several cranks. Let it idle for 10-15 minutes, cleared it a few times and took the car out....eek. Idle is smooth at 8-900 ( I know, too high) but about the same as before the install, only smoother. Rolled on the throttle, boost builds and car falls on its face past 3500 RPMs, backfiring a ton and dumping smoke everywhere. Car is running super rich is all I can decipher. Gauge reads .50 bar so I know wastegate is working and boost is building, no air leaks, BOV works, but the car bogs down and falls flat=NO GOOD.
Any ideas? It was late last night so haven't mucked with it today. I was pissed, I went to bed..
NO FUEL LEAKS, no fuel smells.
I'm assuming the timing could still be off, we tried what looked like 20* and even 15-16*=same result.

FMIC

check for leaks in boost tubing, spray carb cleaner around joints while the car is idling and the idle will be effected if carb cleaner leaks in

Okay, have a timing light and I've adjusted it 15-25 degrees on the markings on the underdrive pulley. MAKES NO DIFFERENCE at WOT. I pulled the plugs and gapped them to .30, checked the MAF wiring three times, both grounds going to the same wire as well as grounding it to the chassis. EVen swapped to a buddies N62 MAF and it made NO DIFFERENCE. I'm at a loss. Everything produces the same result. Idles fine, roll on it, makes boost, car WON't pull past 2800ish RPMs and flat out falls on its face. Yesterday, previous to the install, she pulled fine. I do ot have A/F R readings, but judging by the tailpipe and the plugs (and the constant backfire) she is RICH, RICH, RICH.

I would try searching for a leak somewhere, like seekanddestroy suggested. If you don't have a reliable way of testing for a leak, I could get you the same pressure tester I use pretty much every day. It's pretty inexpensive, reliable and has helped me find leaks that I had no idea existed. If you're interested, send me a PM. Good luck!

I agree, do this. Did you run this fuel setup NA first? This is always what I recommend to people incase of things like this.

I'd say your running so rich that the car is just flooding itself, cut back fuel and see if it helps. What duty cycle are your injectors running?

SOLVED!!!!! After just about calling it a night, we started seriously honing in on the boost leak theory. Checked and tightened every intercooler connection and unhooked the vaccum line to the BOV. End result= .7BAR and the car hauls apples. Reconnected the BOV vacuum and boom, super boost leak. MY BOV SUCKS. I didn't install it, just bought it that way. Ebay knockoff I suppose.

Thanks, super relieved. Never driven the car at WOT for more than 10-15 seconds, will be nice to finally motor this baby a bit.
