removing "front of car" how to please

I am trying to remove all the thin black sheet metal BEHIND the headlights. The upper radiator support is part of it, but i want to remove that entire piece(upper/lower rad support, metal behind lights, etc.) The car its coming off of is a junk car, but i'll be putting it on a "good" car. Hood, motor, bumper support, etc. are already out/off the car.

Does anyone have ideas on how to remove/install that entire piece easily... Any suggestions appriciated.

You may use any of the tool they mentioned to make a rough cut, leaving some metal around the edges. Just watch for frame rails and other crap that get in your way.

Then you can take it home and grind it down with your choice of tools to the right length.

That is not a punch, it is a spotweld cutter.

Can one be purchased at a napa or autozone, or is it a special order item?
thanks

lol. thanks.

I tried napa and they have to order one from arizona... I want this off NOW. I'm thinking i could predrill with a tiny bit and then use a larger one to get rid of the weld... Or just use my air grinder and a bit and go at it.... any better ideas..

thanks again.

yeah you can pull it off by just drilling out all the spot welds. but if your really worried about making it nice and easy to put into the other car. then i would wait till you can get the right tool. it makes it cake.

other places besides napa should have them. do you have any sort of welding supply stores? could always try to borrow it from a body shop, good 'ol case of beer to a mechanic can usually get you what ever you need.

Are you putting it on you good car "like now"? Or do you need it off because you are getting rid of the junk car?

If its the latter just order the spotweld cutter to use later, and sawzall off more than you need. Then once you get the spotweld cutter get the radiator support off clean.

If you need it off now to put it on your good car now, take a drill with a drill bit slightly larger than the spotwelds, and go to town on them.

Uhmm... you have to cut it has as I know. But if you order the parts off of Nissan they have it in pieces. It's weird..
It looks like you can just take it off but I don't see how...
