yes you can swap it with ease but engine harness has to be converted

check and search on here and it'll tell what you need

well he has a ca ready, works no problem. Don't really see the point. I wouldt go ca in the first place, had them in other cars never really liked them. Would rather be KA. But CA18DE is farr worse. Its the same as any ca18det swap. Power steering bolts up and your tach will work. But you have to make sure your using the ca turbo elbow and downpipe or sr turbo + turbo elbow, downpipe. Anything mixed ca and sr will not work.

i think he means a non-turbo ca18de from like a usdm fwd??? obviously the trans is different since the engine sits sideways and the motormounts probly...other than that I wouldn't know...seems like a wierd idea...

and if you meant ca18det...prepare for some flaming since that's like asking about an sr20 swap lol...it's been covered, from head to toe

Then why don't you just drop in a new ka, or repair the existing one?

yeah seriously, that's a huge WTFWTFWTF swap.

That's like swapping a 486SX-25 without the math coprocessor in place of a Pentium 66. It'll still run Windows 3.11, but you can't play Quake.

I'm such a fucking geek.

Go get another goddamned KA.

is it from a junkyard or is it JDM?? from a FWD or RWD??

GL with the swap, shouldn't be too hard, but I'm pretty sure unless someone can prove me wrong that this is the first time this swap has ever been done. Personally keeping the Ka should be easier, but if you have the skills and you already have the ca then you might save money dropping it in versus finding a ka to drop in.

you do realize a 97 s14 looks exactly like a 98 and it's easier to find...you can also convert a 95-96 with a handful of parts and make it look the same as a kouki (1997-1998).

the ca came from my 89 coupe that got totaled on martin luther king day, because of some jackass foreign that didnt know when it rains you need to have your lights on,Ive been looking for a new 240,I found a 92 hatch for an amazing $75 its body is in good condition and interior is fair,so im going to try and swap my motor in and sell it,to turn a profit, then buy a s14.

Yeah if it's already in a 240 then you should be all set to just swap off stuff like the harness and engine. No actual mods should have to be done like on most RB swaps or V6/V8 swaps. So I guess this will be at least the second CA18DE swapped into a 240sx lol...

So wait, you have a CA in a car, and you want to know if it will fit in the EXACT SAME CAR?

I don't know where to begin on this one.

HAH! The crazy part is I understand exactly what you just said!!! My first computer was a 486 processor w/540mb hard drive and 2X CD-ROM. I could only play Tie Fighter and Heroes of Might & Magic on it!! Ah the good ole' days.

GO SUPER GEEKS!!!

Yea, I love CA's, but even I would consider this a bad idea, lol. If you are pulling the engine out of a 240 that runs already, and the cost will be minimal, and your just doing it to sell the car, I say go for it.

If your keeping the car, and trying to spend no/ minimal money, find another KA.

If you are keeping the car and actually want power, look into another KA + T, SR, CA turbo, etc.

Thats what I would say, but yea, I can imagine an N/A CA being quite a turd in a 240.

Most every swap has been done. I don't think there is any inovation left for 240 swaps. Let alone one from another nissan.

What S14 you plan on buying for $1,500? Cause I dont think you will get more then that out of a mid '80s engine into a S13. G'luck though.

n/a bitches!

less torque then a ka, but the powerband is good, and it works decent in my fully gutted coupe.
