sr tach problem

im having a tach problem my friends gave me a dohc tach, but it still doenst work. my dash wirings fine, i also heard that the yellow/red wire goes to the cas if thats true then what wire off the cas do i tap in to, cuz i was thinking of just getting a aftermarket tach and wiring it up to the cas.

you shouldn't even touch the wiring at the cas. just tap the wire from the ecu for a signal, much cleaner. But if you want to mickey mouse your wiring, then it's the blue wire at the cas.

another thing i heard that you needd to have an adapter with after market tachs since the sr has coil packs. is that true?

i think my signal wire isnt getting a reading because i checked it with a volt meter and it said 0.03,were does the yellow/red wire lead to from the ecu?
