What is this fitting for?

This is a little unknown fitting on the intake manifold of 93 KA24DE.
Any one know what this is for? I hooked my FPR signal line onto this and it was not creating vacuum. Just for curiousity before I plug this.

So that is the one!
I don't feel like to penetrate the fitting. I am afraid of damaging the cylinder with foreign object.
Can I direct FPR signal line onto some other vacuum source, say brake booster line by making a T and let it share vacuum source with this FPR?

Thought about doing this but what if the fitting is clogged by something hard? Since it can't be taken out of intake manifold, wouldn't this go into cylinder chamber and damage the piston or the chamber?

some thing hard like what? as long as you have an air filter on the car nothing hard should be there. just grime from the egr, which the cleaner will melt.
